How to grow eyelashes in 30 to 90 days

If you’ve ever wondered how to grow eyelashes quickly, or even if eyelashes grow at all – be assured that you can, and they do. Just like the other hair on your body, your eyelashes are growing constantly. The reason they appear shorter in some people is because they become brittle, break or fall out and then need to regrow. They are constantly in this cycle of regrowth.

Eyelashes appear to grow slowly, but actually grow at about the same rate as other hairs. Just like the hair and follicles on your head, they can benefit from conditioning to strengthen the hair, keep it from becoming brittle and keep them growing. And just like the hairs on your scalp, the healthier your eyelashes are, the better they will look.

Longer eyelashes draw more attention to your eyes, and give you a healthier appearance. I’ve talked about using Vaseline (or any generic petroleum jelly) on the eyelids just above the eyelashes whenever possible to help condition and grow your eyelashes. Other options include olive oil which provide conditioning and nutrients.

Some people believe that using conditioning products like olive oil and Vaseline to grow eyelashes actually make the eyelashes grow faster. But in reality, they provide a level of conditioning to make the eyelashes stronger and keep them from breaking so they can reach their full level of growth. Another advantage to have fully conditioned, strong eyelashes is that they provide a better base for false eyelashes if you choose to use them. They also provide a greater level of support for mascara and other products that make your eyelashes look longer and thicker visually.

There are of course medical conditions that may cause eyelashes to fall out or become weak. But generally, just like the hair on your head, if you take care of them, your eyelashes will continue to grow and look beautiful.

Stimulating Eyelash Growth
Some products can stimulate growth by increasing the blood supply to the hair follicle. Medical staff for several years noted the long lush eyelashes of patients undergoing treatment for glaucoma. The treatment involves a medication that contains a prostoglandin analogue called bimatiprost. Several cosmetics now contain this medication. Some of these products actually require a prescription. But most will agree that eyelash growth isn’t a medical problem, it’s a cosmetic one. While prescription products are great, they also tend to be a little bit of a hassle.

Other products, such as Lilash and Idol Lash, work in much the same way but do not require a prescription. Many people report that using these products they experienced noticable differences in the length, strength and thickness of their eyelashes in 30 to 90 days. One downside of these products is that when you stop using them, they will revert back to the condition they were in before you began using the eyelash growth stimulators.

A big advantage of them, is that they are actually easier to use than false eyelashes. They are applied just like eyeliner, and if you don’t mind waiting a few weeks, you can have real, yes REAL eyelashes.

Take care of your eyelashes. Don’t pull them, don’t pluck them. Condition your eyelashes with Vaseline or olive oil. Consider using an eyelash growth stimulator.

Hopefully this will answer a few questions about how to grow eyelashes. Good luck!

“Derived from the ancient Greek word “madaros” meaning “bald”, refers to hair loss of the eyebrows (superciliary madarosis) or loss of eyelashes (ciliary madarosis). Loss of eyelashes is also known as milphosis. In addition to the obvious cosmetic blemish for which the patient usually presents to dermatologists or ophthalmologists, madarosis may be a sign of many systemic diseases and warrants detailed systemic examination and in some cases, consultation with an internist or endocrinologist.” – Wikipedia

I’ve always loved this quote, lol.  Bob Hope was definitely one of the great ones.

Just a beaty tip.  This is a question that is asked frequently and there is a natural solution.

To help fade stretch marks use ½ tsp of aloe, 1 tsp rose water, 1 tsp rose water, 1 tsp of sandalwood powder, 2 drops of lavender oil , 10 drops of almond oil.  Add about 2 teaspoons of cream to make a paste.  Before bathing, massage the solution on the skin in a gentle circular motion.  Doing this twice a week will help fade stretch marks.

Sleeping in mascara and other types of makeup can have a serious detrimental effect on your eyelash health. In addition, it will make you more prone to eye infections. Make sure to remove the days makeup before going to sleep at night. This will help grow eyelashes that are not only more beautiful but also healthier!

Natural Remedies to Grow Eyelashes Include Things As Simple As Olive Oil. Most natural oils will help grow and strengthen eyelashes. They don’t actually stimulate growth, but they condition the eyelashes so that they are less likely to break. This gives them a chance to grow longer, and may contribute to the health of your lashes. Olive oil, castor oil, almond oil and Vaseline (petroleum jelly). Sure, you can use the generic stuff, for our purposes, it’s all the same. These are the items that have been used for thousands of years to help with eyelash growth. In addition to making they eyelashes grow, they provide nutrients and moisture to keep them from becoming brittle and breaking off. When the eyelashes get dry, they sometimes break leaving many people with stubby, half lashes. In addition, the shine that these oils give to the eyelashes make them appear longer visually. They also give mascara a better base so that it applies more evenly. One problem that you may have when using oils is with extensions. Oil based products decrease the bond between the extension and the natural eyelash making it more likely that they will fail and fall off. If you use eyelash extensions, use water based products instead of oils. We’ll talk about water based eyelash conditioners later in another post. While most people swear by the natural products, others turn to cosmeceuticals to grow their lashes. These products work, and if you want to take the extra step, you may want to try them.

I’m going to Hawaii next month, this is the second time I have had to delay the trip. Wow, do I need some time on the beach. I’ll make sure to post lots of pics!
